In 2023, MEG founder Ric Ross was honored with the Silver Award, followed by the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024. Co-founder Dawn Ross received the Gold Award, while Executive Director James Caldwell was also recognized with the Gold Award for service.
President’s Volunteer Service Award
A civil award bestowed by the President of the United States.
MEG received this award in recognition of its collaboration with the arts office and arts partners to provide students with unique opportunities. MEG actively advocates for equity in arts programming and scheduling, going beyond merely supporting arts education by ensuring broader access and meaningful engagement in their community.
Excellence in Arts Education Award
Awarded by the Atlanta Public School System.
The Fulton County Board of Commissioners Arts Organization of the Year Award honors arts organizations in Fulton County, Georgia, for excellence in artistic merit, community service, leadership, and financial stability. Music Education Group received this award for its outstanding achievements in these areas.
