On Friday, March 28, 2025 MEG had the honor to host the first ever Cobb Schools Music Tech Summit. The annual experience was designed to immerse students from Cobb County Schools into the ever-evolving world of music and audio technology. Hosted at Global Media Studios, 2030 Powers Ferry Rd Suite 270, Atlanta, GA 30339, one of Cobb County’s newest facilities, the summit fosters exploration, education, and networking, ensuring that the next generation of creators and innovators have the tools and knowledge to thrive in the music industry.
The summit featured Expert Panels: Industry professionals share insights on careers, trends, and innovations in music tech.
Hands-on Breakout Sessions: Students engage with industry-standard software and hardware to enhance their skills.
Interactive Booths: Companies and organizations showcase cutting-edge music technology and learning resources.
Education & Career Pathways: Universities and music industry organizations provide guidance on academic programs and professional opportunities.

Music and Audio Technology is one of the fastest growing career pathways among Georgia Middle and High School Students. Since 2018, Music Education Group, Inc., (MEG) has been working with industry stakeholders to provide hardware, software and skills-based training for students and teachers in careers in audio technology and productions. Building an infrastructure that will support future careers is critical to the state’s ability to keep education on pace with job creation.
