On May 3rd and 4th, Maureen “Ma Dukes” Yancy, mother of J. Dilla, made an appearance in Atlanta for the 3rd Annual APS/Fulton County Schools Music Technology Summit. On May 3, we also hosted an event at the Trap Music Museum, “From the Smithsonian to the Trap Museum” – The Influences of J. Dilla, moderated by NuFace, offering insights into J. Dilla’s life and music.
