MEG In Schools

Save the Music Foundation

Save the Music Foundation’s mission is to help students, schools, and communities reach their full potential through the power of making music. The organization donates instruments and music technology, provides support services for teachers, and advocates for music education.

Educational Enhancement Progams

MEG takes a holistic approach to serving young people. Educational Enhancement Programs provide opportunities for students to meet their school community service requirements and develop critical leadership skills.

MEG Master Class

Delivered as an in-school program which exposes students to multiple careers in the music, film and digital media industries. Participants learn about career options from a diverse group of dedicated experts, including national recording artists, songwriters, entertainment lawyers, record label producers and executives, music critics, audio architects and other industry insiders.

Career and Coding

The program explores the relationship between music and technology. The career and coding academy is delivered in partnership with Georgia Tech’s EarSketch Curriculum and engages students in music and coding careers.

MEG Student Engineer Program

Developed in conjunction with our Distance Learning Program, students selected to participate as engineers receive a complete in-home sound recording studio and product specific training. It’s designed to bridge the technology gap so that Atlanta’s workforce will have the training and skills for technology-based jobs in Georgia’s Creative Services Industries.

MEG Live Sessions

In-school program which allows us to set up a mobile, production studio on site for a day of education and live recording. This creative experience allows students to gain an understanding into the live recording process.

Youth Retrieve Technology Center

Our full-service, HD multimedia and technology centers serve as a hub for cutting-edge technological education and production. Our hands, workforce development facilities expand the interest of Georgia student’s grades 6-12, in career options relating to audio technology and production.

Our signature after-school program exposes teens to the business of music and related careers. The program takes music education to the next level by giving student participants an innovative and unique opportunity to gain first‐hand experience inside the creative services industries.
